The Stronger Seniors course is a chair-based exercise group using chair aerobics, upper body weights and standing lower body strengthening plus balance exercises. It is not a full weight training class and less able folk are encouraged to join the class which is pitched at a lower fitness level. Participants will need to provide their own weight in the form of one small dumbbell weighing 500 grams to 2kgs depending on their strength. Better to start off with a lower weight. A can of food would be a suitable substitute to start off.
