Bird Talks

Geoff Shannon

Bird talks are designed to bring people with interested in birds together and discuss any birding matters. No previous attendance necessary, no knowledge and people are welcome to attend any number of talks.

Each talk has a theme with the aim of exploring different themes of birds their identification, their behaviour how local birds compare with mainland and overseas birds and any other topic of interest.

I hope in term 2 to have another basic birding series of talks but this is not necessary for the current series which should continue through the year.

First topic (March 5th).

How knowing local birds helps on the mainland. Lessons from Darwin.

Second topic (April 2nd).

Birding in Ethiopia, what it taught me.

Third topic (April 30th).

Pelicans and Cormorants, here and overseas.
